Byron was a guest during Season 1, and after we finished recording his episode, we kept the mics live while he shared a story saving Lib's college education. At the time, we weren't sure how to release this story – this behind-the-scenes outtake from regular episode production. Then we came up with the idea of Out-Ticks, and decided to air this as the second in that series.
During Lib's senior year at the U, he was enrolled, a second time, in a web-design class. And for the second time, about to fail. He procrastinated his term project until the night before the assignment was due. In a last-ditch effort, Lib called Byron to help him out, or he'd have to stay enrolled in college even one more semester to take this one class. Designing websites for Byron is as simple as 0's and 1's.
Byron was in his office in San Antonio, his first job after graduating. Lib was stressed out in the campus computer lab, infringing upon closing hours, and together they busted out the website design project that allowed Lib to graduate.
